Run for All and Tips for Some
Our Corporate Challenge team is geared up for another sizzling hot 10k run around Leeds on the 04 July, after some useful training tips from 19 year old up-and-coming Olympic prospect Lois Rosindale from Leeds.
The strong team of ten entering this year’s ‘Jane Tomlinson Run for All’ have donned their trainers and shorts and been in training for the last couple of months, running weekly with our elite athlete Lois Rosindale. Lois has been putting the team through their paces week after week, running a 10k distance on week three of their training programme.
She has given them advice on the best training techniques to help complete the run with great confidence and ability; made them endure a couple of hill climbs; shown them the most appropriate stretching exercises to ensure they don’t incur any unwanted injuries; and held a couple of Fartlek sessions, which consists of fast, medium and slow running over a variety of distances.
Lois Rosindale comments on how the weekly training program has been going; “I am really impressed with this year’s Corporate Challenge team. They are all a very keen bunch of runners and have shown extreme dedication and ability as well as a desire to improve their personal goals. They are all progressing extremely well and it is great to see how much everyone is improving week after week!”
‘Team Logistik’ is really looking forward to taking part in the Corporate Challenge joining 49 other teams from across the region. Spirits within the group are extremely high with everyone showing definite signs of improvement in their personal fitness and distance times.

We will be running again this year for our chosen charity Martin House Hospice, based in Boston Spa, Wetherby. Martin House Hospice care for Children and Young People with progressive life limiting illnesses throughout the Yorkshire region, and provide support to their families. So far we have raised £287 and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored the team.
If you would like to sponsor the team you can do so by visiting our dedicated Just Giving page which sends all donations straight through to Martin House Hospice and will help us to reach our £10,000 annual fundraising goal for 2010.
