A New Look Window for New Look

New Look High Street Kensington branch VM display

New Look launches its second stand alone shoe and accessories store, this time in High Street Kensington, with a creative window construction from our design and styling company, Grace & Tailor.

The creative stylists at Grace & Tailor worked with the high street retailer’s VM team to create a design, and manufacture an eye catching window structure that would accentuate and showcase the retailer’s shoes and accessories without distracting from the product.

In two glass fronted 3.5m by 1.5m windows, Grace & Tailor installed a number of bespoke built open and closed boxes in three different sizes. The various cubes, finished in mirrored gold and silver or brushed gold and silver DiBond, have been stacked on top of each other and supported by a central steel pole. This architectural style structure has been deliberately designed and constructed to allow the boxes to spin on a central axis allowing the window to be easily changed by in-store staff as and when needed.

With creative visual merchandising on the rise and more prominence being given to visually inspired windows New Look wanted to create something that would engage a passing customer and entice them to cross the threshold and try on a pair of the gorgeous shoes in the window.

The collaboration with Grace & Tailor ensures the design showcased the product perfectly, reflecting it throughout the different mirrored surfaces and creating an enchanting allure drawing the customer in.

Accentuated by various sized light boxes the mirrored display creates a clean and contemporary backdrop injecting different surfaces and textures to bring the New Look display alive whilst creating a professional and sophisticated image.

The overall effect of this permanent window scheme is very modern and quirky.  The design concept enables subtle changes to the layout of the boxes to be easily achieved.  It allows the store to hero it’s product in a very simple and clean way and ensures the items stand out and the window is always impactful.
