Retail Conference a Success

This year’s Lloyds Banking Group Retail Conference was a complete success following a deluge of positive feedback and comments from over 50% of delegates who attended the event in Birmingham.

Last month, we oversaw the entire event management of the Lloyds Banking Group Retail Conference 2010. With only four weeks to create the event, we managed all aspects of the one day conference, from venue liaison to content development to the design of the set, graphics and signage and layout of all eight breakout rooms.

The NEC in Birmingham was used to hold the one day conference due to its size, facilities available and central location. Using Hall 10 for the main plenary, we created tiered seating for over 900 delegates and our design and build company, CuratedSpace, built an Olympic stand in one of the six catering areas.  Key messages, graphics and videos featured on the curved wall of the Olympic stand making it an interactive information hub for delegates to learn more about the bank’s partnership with the Olympics 2012.

Delegates were further engaged through a range of innovative communication techniques led by our communication and brand consultancy experts, Triffid, in eight separate breakout sessions.  All delegates were asked to pre-register their interest in the eight subjects and each then attend three sessions that would bring them most value.

Four days after the event, our in-house web specialists, BrandNew, launched a bespoke website for the conference, fully populated with all relevant event material, presentations, seminar information, images and videos. This website was then broadcast to all attending delegates to use as a resource tool and pass on to other colleagues throughout Lloyds Banking Group.
