Retail Design and Build Solution

THE CHALLENGE
After 10 years of trading, Fenchurch was ready to open its flagship store and commissioned us to create a design language for all future stores, plus complete the build and installation for Cardiff.
 
OUR RESPONSE
Within three months we created a fresh and innovative conceptual shop-fit design that pays homage to the brand’s history and influences. The concept is based around a concrete shell forming a 360° branded urban experience, wrapping around the product and customer and subtly referencing Fenchurch’s skate history.

To bring additional focus to the brand's musical connections, an interactive entertainment wall was created at the back of the store to engage with customers and allow them to download music from bands and artists featured on Fenchurch’s website via free in-house WiFi and USB ports.
 
The new design offers much more than just a retail unit; with theatre intense lighting and the flexibility to open up the space, the store can instantly be transformed into a mini-venue for music events and fashion shows too.
 
To complete the brand launch we created a training pack for new Fenchurch staff, to enable them to fully immerse themselves in the brand. The pack included information on: product ranges, visual merchandising, styling, folding techniques, product placement and presentation.
 
THE RESULT
The new store design concept not only offers a unique customer experience and creates competitor stand out but it also benefits the commercial proposition. The clean and crisp space allows the store to showcase its product without distracting from it and is flexible enough to work across all future footprints and store types.
